Non-surgical nose reshaping with Radiesse.
Radiesse® dermal filler is made of calcium-based microspheres suspended in a water-based gel, and is injected into the skin through a simple and minimally invasive procedure. RADIESSE dermal filler is the ideal choice for total facial contouring. It can restore a healthy, youthful appearance, enhance your existing features, help you defy age and gravity, and increase your confidence – all without invasive surgery or scarring.*
What areas can be treated with Radiesse?
Typical Radiesse injections include: smoothing and contouring smile lines or nasolabial folds, wrinkles at the corner of the mouth, acne scarsof certain type, facial defects or recessions, restoring volume in and around the cheeks, back of the hands, modest enhancement or correcting asymmetrical features. It is also has been used for non-surgical nose reshaping, chin augmentation and liquid face lift.
How long does Radiesse last?
There is a difference in how long Radiesse as a dermal filler may be found in human tissue and how long does actual cosmetic result of Radiesse presence in human tissue will be noticeable. Studies showed that traces of Radiesse can be found in human tissue up to 5 years post implantation if biopsy performed. Although visual cosmetic effect may not be obvious that long. Radiesse benefits can be evident for 6 – 24 months depending on area treated, amount of product used, severity of the cosmetic problems, technique used for filler implantation and patient’s genetic predispositions. Only face to face examination of every particular case by an experienced physician can establish approximate duration of expected result.*
(redness usually lasts 2-3 hours).
Does the treatment hurt?
A mild localized anesthetic is normally used to minimize or usually eliminate the pain associated with this type of treatment. The numbing effects will wear off in 15 minutes to as long as a couple of hours depending on the anesthetic used by your physician. There is no pain reported afterwards. *
What can I expect after my treatment with Radiesse?
Patients are up and around immediately after receiving their Radiesse treatments. You can expect greatly improved wrinkles, enhanced lips or smoothed-out depressed scars. Any discomfort following the procedure can be controlled with medication. The treatment site may have a little swelling, which may last 24 to 36 hours depending on the area treated. There may be some slight bruising at the injection site, which can be covered with make-up. *
Are there any restrictions after treatment?
You should avoid activities that will strain your facial features for 48 hours following treatment as much as possible. For example, avoid activities such as strenuous laughing, using a straw, singing, shouting, cheering, chewing gum, eating beef jerky, etc. Otherwise normal activities are fine. *
How many Radiesse treatments will I need?
This may vary depending on the patient, the area treated and the desired result. Results with Radiesse are immediate, so you can determine at first glance if you are happy with the results or if you would like more Radiesse injection. Usually one to two treatments are sufficient because Radiesse is very slowly absorbed by your body and is long lasting. Please schedule consultation with Doctor Yagudin at his office in New York City to discuss if Radiesse™ is right for you. *
