Rosacea is a common chronic inflammatory disorder of the facial pilosebaceous units. Capillaries have an increased reactivity leading to facial flushing and telangiectasia (visible tiny capillaries). The cosmetic effects of Rosacea are debilitating to patients. The course of the disorder is often prolonged and recurrences are common.Common management measures include topical metronidazole, oral doxycycline or isotretinoin for individuals with more severe disease.The use of Omnilux™ light therapy in Rosacea (as light treatment alone or alongside a course of daily topical Metronidazole) offers excellent efficacy in erythema reduction and overall facial cosmetic enhancement. How many Omnilux revive ™ treatments do I need for my Rosacea?*
The Usual protocol for rosacea is 10 sessions. The treatments are performed twice a week during a 5-weeks period. There should be at least 48-hours rest time between treatments.

Are the treatments painful?
No.

How is the treatment is performed?
After your initial free consultation Dr. Yagudin will establish your diagnosis, indications and contraindications to Omnilux revive™.  You should remove your make-up before procedure. Your skin will be cleaned with a suitable skin cleanser. Safety goggles will be provided to you to ensure that the pupils are protected from direct illumination. For additional safety you should keep your eyes closed during the treatment.

How long each treatment lasts?
20 minutes

Are there are any downtime after each procedure?
No

What are the post procedure instructions?
You should use daily broad range total sun block SPF65 (which is available in our office). You will be advised on any additional measures according to your specific
situation.

When do I have to come back for follow up after I completed my 10 sessions of Omnilux revive™ treatment for Rosacea?
You should consider 12 wks follow up after the final light therapy session.
